FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (April 3, 2026) – Fort Lauderdale United FC announced today that it has transferred forward Jasmine Hamid to Dallas Trinity FC for an undisclosed fee. Hamid, one of four remaining players to appear on both opening day rosters in club history, departs as one of the most accomplished players in Fort Lauderdale United history and was a key contributor in the club’s run to the Super League Final in its inaugural season.
After spending time with Bay FC on trial and two months in Sweden with BK Hacken after an incredible college career, Hamid made her way to South Florida and played a pivotal role in Fort Lauderdale United’s inaugural campaign, starting 26 of 28 matches and logging over 2,000 minutes. The Towson product scored 9 goals and added 2 assists, with her dominance earning league-wide recognition. Hamid was the only player in the Super League to earn Player of the Month honors twice – doing so in back-to-back months (December and February) – and appeared three times on the Team of the Month throughout the season. Following the regular season, the 23-year-old forward was named to the All-League Second Team for her standout performance across the campaign.
Hamid returned for a second season and continued her strong form, making 19 appearances with 16 starts despite injuries late in the campaign. She logged 1,476 minutes, recording 4 goals and one assist while the versatile forward also led the team in duels won (139) and interceptions (18). Hamid also earned Team of the Month honors twice during the 2025/26 season, appearing on the October and February editions.
Hamid departs Fort Lauderdale as one of the most decorated players in club history, leading the club’s all-time rankings in goals (13), duels won (253), tackles won (61), and shots (84), while also leading in Team of the Month selections (5). The Towson product ranks among the top three in multiple categories, including games started (2nd, 42), games played (T-2nd, 47), minutes played (2nd, 3,514), shots on target (2nd, 34), and assists (T-3rd, 3) across the club’s 51-match history.
The forward concludes her Fort Lauderdale United career with 47 appearances, 42 starts, and 3,514 minutes played, along with 13 goals, three assists, and 253 duels won. Fort Lauderdale United FC thanks Jasmine for her contributions and professionalism during her time with the club and wishes her the best in her future career.
