The United Soccer League (USL) is the largest and fastest-growing professional soccer organization in North America, possessing more than a decade of experience in bringing the world’s game to communities across the United States and Canada. Overseeing the USL Championship (USSF Division II), USL League One (USSF Division III), and USL League Two (Pre-Professional), the organization is built on a proven and recognized model in international football and counts more than 125 clubs in its membership. That membership will expand with the addition of the pre-professional W League, kicking off in 2022 and the Super League, which will apply for Division II professional sanctioning and kick off in 2023, doubling the amount of professional women’s soccer teams in the United States.
Based in Tampa, Fla., the USL has grown during the past decade into a model organization with strong partnerships including ESPN, stable organizational leadership and a dedicated staff of more than 80 professionals across 17 departments for unparalleled support to member clubs. The Gainbridge Super League (formerly the USL Super League) is a professional women’s soccer league set to kick off in August 2024. The Gainbridge Super League has committed to U.S. Soccer’s Division One standards, reflecting its collective vision to be a global leader in women’s soccer on and off the field while providing more opportunities for more women in more communities. The inaugural 2024 season will feature 10-12 teams with additional teams set to join in subsequent seasons.
