We’re building a team to represent South Florida, compete from the first whistle and give you even more reasons to wear the crest.
In March 2027, our men’s team will take the field as the newest member of USL League One, joining our USL Gainbridge Super League women’s team as Broward County’s only professional soccer clubs playing home games at Amerant Bank Field.
USL League One is the third division of American professional men’s soccer and features 17 clubs representing communities all across the United States.
That means national competition. New opponents. And rivalries ready to be made.
Introducing Promotion & Relegation
USL is also increasing the excitement through the season with promotion and relegation across three men’s professional divisions. Teams will move up or down based on performance. That means every game matters! A great season could eventually give Fort Lauderdale United FC an opportunity to earn a spot with a higher level division. The new system is drama filled and an exciting feature for our inaugural season.
The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
This high profile knockout tournament brings amateur and professional clubs together from across the country, creating possible rivalry and premiere matchups against USL Championship and MLS teams. Our participation in 2027 remains subject to U.S. Soccer’s eligibility rules and the confirmed field.
Watch League One matches on ESPN+, and select games on CBS Sports Golazo Network.
