FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 13, 2026) – Fort Lauderdale United FC’s USL League Two Men’s squad dominated Miami AC on Saturday evening, earning a 3-0 victory at Beyond Bancard Field. Malher Santi Possu, Rafael Coronado and Jaden Prado each found the back of the net as Fort Lauderdale returned the favor in Saturday night’s win. With the victory, Fort Lauderdale has won its third consecutive match and will look to continue that streak in next Wednesday’s rivalry meeting with Weston FC.
With Miami AC taking the first meeting at Beyond Bancard Field, Fort Lauderdale entered the first half energized and ready for revenge. Led by the dominant attack of Owen Barnett and Raul Leyva, Fort Lauderdale was eager to find the opening score. The back-line, headlined by Idrissa Mane, Fabrizio Cubeddu and Joackim Betina, was strong on the defensive end as the clubs went into the halftime break tied at zero.
Just after entering the match in the 53rd minute, Santi Possu opened the scoresheet up. Defender Logan Hall beat his defender down the right side and played a perfect cross into the box, where Santi Possu sent a one-touch rocket into the net in the 61st minute to give Fort Lauderdale the advantage. The lead was doubled just five minutes later after Santi Possu had his one-on-one opportunity saved by the keeper, playing a pass to Coronado on the rebound. The forward had his shot saved as well but fired the ensuing shot into the back of the net, doubling the lead with just over 20 minutes remaining. The game was put out of reach in the 90th minute when super-substitute Prado found the back of the net just 10 minutes after entering the pitch. After a flick on a low corner kick, Prado took a couple of touches and sent a missile to the far post, deflecting off the woodwork and into the goal, securing an electric 3-0 victory at Beyond Bancard Field.
