(November 22, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale (4-3-5, 17 PTS) dropped its matchup with Sporting JAX (5-3-3, 18 PTS) on Saturday evening, 0-2, in the first meeting between the two teams in club history. With the result, Fort Lauderdale has fallen for the third time this season, and the second time in two matches, as the team now looks to regroup and take advantage of a brief break before returning to Jacksonville with a chance to respond.

Fort Lauderdale United will return to action on Saturday, December 13 for another road visit to Sporting JAX following a two-week pause. With only two matches remaining in the first half of the 2025–26 Gainbridge Super League campaign, the early-December rematch stands as an important opportunity for Fort Lauderdale to close the stretch on a high note.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 21, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC is excited to announce that Academy player Alexa Strickler has been called up to the U-18/U-19 United States Women’s Youth National Team. Strickler, one of just seven players to be selected for both this camp and last month’s trip to Europe, is the lone representative from the Gainbridge Super League.

“We’re proud to see Alexa earn another call-up to the U-18/U-19 USYNT,” said Ali Rogers, Head Coach of Fort Lauderdale United FC. “Since joining our environment, she has shown clear potential and made important strides in her development. This is a great opportunity for her to gain valuable experience at the international level, and we look forward to seeing how she applies it in her continued growth.”

Strickler will join the U-18/U-19 USYNT for a week-long training camp in West Palm Beach, Fla., from November 25 to December 2. She most recently appeared with the group during its October camp in Europe, featuring in two matches against the Republic of Ireland and Portugal, logging 85 minutes and earning one start. All 24 players in camp are age-eligible for the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup in Poland, with the camp serving as another important step in the team’s preparation for the tournament.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (November 19, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC is proud to announce that four players have earned international call-ups for the upcoming FIFA window, running from November 23 to December 2. Midfielders Stella Nyamekye (Ghana) and Kat González (Dominican Republic), along with forwards Nia Christopher (Bermuda) and Princess Ademiluyi (England U20), will represent their countries during the window.

“International selection, whether at the senior or youth level, represents the highest acknowledgment of a player’s ability, ceiling, potential and professionalism,” said Ali Rogers, Head Coach of Fort Lauderdale United FC. “I am incredibly proud of our four players earning call-ups and representing their countries. Their achievements reflect the consistency and high standards they bring each day and the environment that supports their growth. We’re excited to see them continue to develop and compete at the highest levels.”

Stella Nyamekye – Ghana

Nyamekye has been selected for a key international friendly as Ghana takes on England, marking the first-ever meeting between the two nations at the senior level. The Ghana international has been an instrumental part of Fort Lauderdale’s strong start, appearing in 10 matches and starting eight since arriving on loan. The midfielder has logged 699 minutes, completing 79.4% of her passes as she leads the club in chances created (12), while contributing one goal and a team-high two assists. Nyamekye is one of just three Fort Lauderdale players to record both a goal and an assist through the first seven matches of the season, playing a key role in the club’s second place standings after 11 matches.

The midfielder has quickly become a key figure for the Ghana National Team, better known as the Black Queens. She earned her senior debut in 2023 at just 17 years old and broke out at the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations, where she recorded a goal and an assist in the tournament. Nyamekye scored the go-ahead goal in the Semifinal against Morocco and provided an assist in a group-stage win over Tanzania, helping the Black Queens claim the bronze medal with a victory over South Africa. Nyamekye captained Ghana at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where she recorded two goals and an assist, and most recently appeared in a pair of 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Egypt in late October. The midfielder contributed two assists across the two-leg series, helping Ghana secure qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Nyamekye and Ghana will take on England on Tuesday, December 2, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton, England.

Kat González – Dominican Republic 

González will join the Dominican Republic for a pivotal CONCACAF Women’s Championship qualifying match against Suriname. The attacking midfielder has been a key contributor for Fort Lauderdale United this season, appearing in 10 matches with four starts. Gonzalez has recorded one assist, 6 key passes and 13 duels won across 422 minutes on the pitch. Her creativity has played a pivotal role in Fort Lauderdale’s hot start, helping the club climb to second place in the Super League standings.

Gonzalez has been a consistent presence with the Dominican Republic National Team, dating all the way back to 2021. The Marshall product played a pivotal role in the nation’s qualification for the inaugural W Gold Cup, scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 victory over Guyana during the 2024 Prelims. Gonzalez most recently featured in a pair of friendlies against Honduras, starting both while scoring a goal in the initial match on May 29. 

González and the Dominican Republic will face Suriname on Tuesday, December 2 at 6 p.m. at Estadio Complejo Deportivo Moca 85 in the Dominican Republic.

Nia Christopher – Bermuda

Christopher has been named to Bermuda’s squad for a crucial pair of CONCACAF Women’s Championship Qualifying matches. Christopher has added valuable attacking depth to a dominant Fort Lauderdale squad, making an appearance and logging nine minutes to open the 2025/26 season. She featured in 13 matches during the club’s inaugural campaign, earning her first career start on September 6, 2024, against Carolina Ascent FC. The 24-year-old forward recorded an assist in a 3-1 win over Lexington SC and finished her rookie year with 4 shots on target, 3 key passes, and 75.4% passing accuracy. 

Christopher has earned nine caps with the Bermuda Senior National Team, most recently appearing in a match against the Dominican Republic on December 5, 2023, during 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Qualifying. The Towson product has scored six goals in her nine international appearances, highlighted by a hat trick against the Cayman Islands in the 2022 CONCACAF Women’s Championship Qualifiers.

Christopher and Bermuda will face the Cayman Islands on Thursday, November 27 at 7 p.m. at Truman Bodden Stadium, followed by a matchup against Guatemala on Monday, December 1 at 8 p.m. at Estadio Cementos Progreso.

Princess Ademiluyi – England U20 

Ademiluyi will be joining the U20 England Women’s National Team for a trio of matches in Spain, taking on China PR, the United States and Mexico in the Young Lionesses’ first preparation camp for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland. The forward has brought a strong physical presence to Fort Lauderdale’s front line, appearing in seven matches and earning two starts since arriving on loan just after the start of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season. Her hold-up play and ability to occupy defenders have added a new dimension to the already versatile and dominant attack. Ademiluyi has logged 242 minutes to date, creating two chances, recording a shot on target, and winning 13 duels and four tackles. The English forward has been central to Fort Lauderdale’s forward group maintaining its depth and versatility, ranking third among the club’s forwards in shots, shots on target, passes, tackles won and duels won.

Ademiluyi has been a key piece within the England U-19 team, making 14 appearances since October 2024 across qualifiers, friendlies and European tournaments. She made her international debut at the Algarve Cup against the Netherlands and Norway and has scored six career goals for England, including the team’s opening goal of the tournament and an equalizer against the Netherlands in the group stage of the 2025 UEFA U-19 EURO. Ademiluyi most recently appeared in the European Championships in June, where she started all three games for England and has scored five goals in her last four matches for the Young Lionesses.

Ademiluyi and England will face China PR on Wednesday, November 26 at 4 p.m., the United States on Saturday, November 29 at noon, and Mexico on Tuesday, December 2 at 11 a.m., with all matches taking place at Pinatar Arena in Spain.

(November 15, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC (4-2-5, 17 PTS) tied its matchup with Tampa Bay Sun FC (1-3-6, 9 PTS) on Saturday evening, 1-1, in a thrilling clash at Beyond Bancard Field. Defender Madison McComasky scored her first goal in her Fort Lauderdale United career in the home draw. With the result, Fort Lauderdale recorded its fifth tie of the season and has earned points in all but two of its 11 matches, and the club will look to take that momentum into next weekend’s clash with Sporting JAX on the road.

Fort Lauderdale’s first chance came in the 8th minute after a brilliant sequence from left back Julia Grosso, who dribbled through pressure and slipped a pass to Kelli Van Treeck for a close-range effort that was saved. (November 12, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC (4-2-4, 16 PTS) dropped its matchup with DC Power FC (3-3-4, 13 PTS) on Wednesday evening, 1-3, in a midweek clash in the nation’s capital. Defender Ella Simpson scored her league-leading third goal among defenders in the road loss, while midfielder Taylor Smith recorded her first career assist. With the result, Fort Lauderdale drops its second match of the season and will look to get back in the win column in a home Florida Derby showdown against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday evening.

Coming off her third shutout of the season, goalkeeper Bella Hara picked up right where she left off, making an unreal save in the 5th minute. Hara added another strong stop in the 17th, while Madison McComasky took Fort Lauderdale’s first shot of the match in the 18th minute, narrowly missing to the right. Fort Lauderdale fell behind in the 21st minute, and the deficit doubled in the 40th. Just before the halftime whistle, Fort Lauderdale earned a corner kick. Smith delivered a perfect cross, and Simpson elevated and headed the ball into the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into halftime.

Head Coach Ali Rogers made her first change of the match coming out of halftime, bringing Julia Grosso on for Sh’nia Gordon. Jasmine Hamid opened the second half with energy, nearly equalizing with a pair of shots saved in the 52nd and 64th minutes. (November 8, 2025) – Fort Lauderdale United FC (4-1-4, 16 PTS) won its matchup with Carolina Ascent FC (3-3-4, 13 PTS) on Saturday evening, 1-1, in a thrilling match at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Forward Jasmine Hamid scored her second goal of the season to lead Fort Lauderdale to all three points on the road, helping the club move to second in the Gainbridge Super League standings. With the win, Fort Lauderdale has earned its fourth victory of the season and its third straight win in Carolina dating back to last year while also snapping a three-match winless streak, and the club will look to carry its momentum into a mid-week matchup against DC Power FC on the road.

Fort Lauderdale United will return to action on Wednesday, November 12 in a Wednesday night duel against DC Power FC on the road. The clubs are meeting for the first time this season, but the clubs split the season series behind a win each and a pair of draws. After tonight’s match, Fort Lauderdale has started a week-long stretch where the club will play three matches in 7 days.

The match got off to a fast start for Fort Lauderdale, nearly taking the lead on a close-range effort from Sh’nia Gordon in the opening minute. Fort Lauderdale’s new-look lineup featured several adjustments from last match, as Ella Simpson moved to right back, Gordon pushed up to right wing, and the new center back duo of Laurel Ansbrow and Madison McComasky set the tone with physicality and intensity throughout the first half. In her return from suspension, goalkeeper Bella Hara made a trio of impressive saves in the 15th, 23rd and 41st minutes to help Fort Lauderdale head into halftime tied at 0-0.

Defender Julia Grosso and midfielder Stella Nyamekye each created promising chances in the opening minutes of the second half as Fort Lauderdale continued to push forward. Hara maintained her strong form, making key stops in the 55th, 63rd and 71st minutes to preserve the clean sheet. Fort Lauderdale made its first change in the 61st minute, as Kat González entered for Darya Rajaee in her return to Carolina after spending last season with the club.

The breakthrough came in the 71st minute when forward Kiara Locklear sent a ball into the box that deflected off a Carolina defender. Hamid pounced on the loose ball and fired a one-touch strike into the back of the net to give Fort Lauderdale a much-needed 1-0 lead with just under 20 minutes remaining. Shortly after, Fort Lauderdale brought on midfielder Kelli Van Treeck and forward Princess Ademiluyi for Nyamekye and Gordon. As the final whistle approached, forward Kate Colvin replaced Grosso to help see out the result. Fort Lauderdale United FC held firm through stoppage time, securing a 1-0 victory on the road against Carolina Ascent FC.
