
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (June 29, 2026) – Fort Lauderdale United FC’s USL W League team concluded its second season in club history, wrapping up another summer of competition in South Florida. Led by Head Coach Gonzalo Rudolf in his first season at the helm, Fort Lauderdale earned a pair of victories during the 2026 campaign.
The W League squad finished the 2026 campaign with a 2-6-2 record, earning both of its victories over Miami AC. Fort Lauderdale totaled 21 goals while allowing just 14 across its 10-match season, finishing with eight points. The attack was powered by Genesis Hernandez and Sofia Suarez, while midfielders Maria Jansen and Gianna Merigliano added key contributions on the scoresheet during the final stretch of the season.
After posting a 6-3-0 record in its inaugural season, Fort Lauderdale now owns an all-time USL W League record of 8-9-2. Through two seasons, the club has scored 57 goals while conceding just 24, good for a +33 goal differential across 19 matches. Fort Lauderdale will return for its third USL W League season in the summer of 2027.
