FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The USL Super League announced Thursday afternoon that Fort Lauderdale United FC midfielder Addie McCain has been named to the April Team of the Month after an impressive run of form. This marks McCain’s fourth Team of the Month selection of the season, having previously earned the honor in September, December and February.
McCain played all 270 minutes of Fort Lauderdale’s three matches in April, playing a pivotal role in each contest. The Texas A&M product scored her 10th goal of the season during the April 26 match against Carolina Ascent FC, becoming just the third player in Super League history to reach double-digit goals in a single season.
Beyond her goal-scoring milestone, McCain completed 137 passes, created 3 chances, won 24 duels and tallied 17 tackles and 7 interceptions – underscoring her all-around influence in midfield. With Fort Lauderdale sitting fourth in the standings and firmly in the Super League playoff picture at the end of April, McCain remains a key figure as FTL UTD enters the final stretch of the regular season with five matches remaining.
