This past summer, we were thrilled to launch our first-ever internship program, welcoming eight talented students who joined us on our historic journey to build our groundbreaking team. A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Roman, Sabrina Lowy, Dominique Marcelli, Gabriela Sanchez, Sam Heimowitz, Marissa Martin, Kevin Hampton, and Alexia Garcia.
The inception of this program aligns perfectly with our mission to support and unite our community beyond the soccer field. These internships provided local students with invaluable real-world professional experience.
Our interns explored various fields, igniting their passions in marketing, ticketing, and our sporting departments. This hands-on experience offered them a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a Division One professional soccer team, giving them priceless insights into the sports industry.
Moreover, these students had the extraordinary chance to be part of history as the only professional women’s soccer team in South Florida.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work each intern contributed to our inaugural team this summer. Their enthusiasm, passion, and creativity have helped us lay a solid foundation for our team’s future. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors and eagerly await their future achievements.
At Fort Lauderdale United FC, we remain committed to nurturing the talent and potential of our local students.
